“INNRI VIST”

By entering into a dream-like, meditative state, I let my subconscious guide a collection of illustrations depicting surreal entities. By embracing the spontaneity in my illustrations, instinctive marks are built upon without establishing a final outcome. The project “Innri Vist” (ancient Icelandic for “inner environment”) explores the result of intuitive sketches through rational analysis, translating elements into technical illustrations, materials, and structures. Using the human form as a base and instinctively distorting its proportions, the designs become a “second skin,” as well as an extension of the mind, body, and soul. The collection personifies the subconscious as mysterious and powerful entities. A limitless, parallel world is envisioned while inviting viewers to explore the layers of the mind.

“Innri Vist” analyzes the subconscious through scientific processes, resulting in a wearable collection.
